💡 Days 1 & 2: The COFUN-L AB – Collaborative Ideation for VET in ICT

On the f inal day, November 20th, SAEK Glyfada’ s attended the 7 th DISCUSS LEARNING Conference at the Serafio Spor ts Complex in Athens. The conference’s theme, “ Vocational Education in the Era of Ar t i f icial Intelligence and Climate Change” focused on leveraging AI and green skills to modernise VET and emphasised CoVEs as innovation hubs vital for a technologically advanced and environmentally friendly labour market

The conference’ s First Session focused critically on the role of CoVEs and ICT. During the inaugural roundtables, we were proud to have our representative from SAEK Glyfada’s, Dimitrios Souliotis, take the f loor by presenting the Investech CoVE initiative poems for small things. In this capacity, he highlighted the impor tance of Centres of Vocational Excellence as innovation hubs within VET. The discussion focused critically on strengthening ICT skills in education and establishing strong and durable l inks with the labour market
The second Session was dedicated to showcasing INVESTech activities . This segment included presentations of various activities under the INVESTech umbrella, collectively demonstrating a unifying push towards an innovational and forward-looking ICT skills ecosystem in vocational education. Key areas of focus were emerging technologies, skills development, and collaborative excellence.
The day concluded with a vital Final Session on Advancing the Green Transition in VET . The discussion centred on l inking industr y and vocational education to promote sustainable practices and engaging organisations in the hands-on development of effective green strategies, thus preparing the workforce for the demands of climate change.
